considering that we have to plan out fights/plots ahead of time, why is the idea that having to know if your character's relationship isn't as it seems such a shocker for some people. whether it's ic or not, there should definitely be ooc conversation about it because as stated, some people just don't like to play out that kind of situation. be respectful of your partners.
idk man. the way i see it, it'd be like if you arranged a plot with another player, and then they went and did something that would not only derail it, but also put your character in a shitty place as a result, all without asking for your input first. it's fine to feel a bit put-out about someone doing that, as long as it isn't a full-blown meltdown like someone mentioned below.
