Please do not negate all the points brought up by the fact that I'm in the game and have 'readily made info'. I've been talking about people not in the game, which is what the damn taken list is for.
If you're in the game and your reading comprehension is this shitty, I just don't know what to say. You're being an asshole. You're arguing with me being a fucking moron for not playing in the tdm until you find out I'm in the game, then that all becomes pointless because I have access. My in game access was never what I was arguing and now you're changing the goalposts and still making no sense.
I understand why people are mad about the Animorphs ending but I actually feel like it was the perfect ending for the series. Since it was all about the horrors of war, it seemed appropriate that war even ended their lives.
for the number of people screaming and crying and frothing at the mouth at each other on every post, it sure is hilarious that they then turn around and say they're not even mad~~~ and that they don't take wg seriously~~~
same situation in my big fast game. character suddenly appeared to do her required three logs with friends to pass ac here at the end of the month too. its a huge game and everyone else who pulls this shit gets called on it but her.
I don't blame them. The mods keep making up the rules as they go, and those "extra" reserves are technically the 23rd and 24th that were posted in that reserve round.
but just don't want to fuck around a test drive meme?
i'm comfortable with the character i'm playing, i like the premise of the game, why the fuck do i need to go into a test drive meme if i already know what the fuck i'm doing?
I'm not the one calling people idiots, illiterate baboons, fucking morons, assholes, etc with every reply. I'm also not the one who said the following:
it's supposed to tell me who's playing what. if the basic function of that is limited, it becomes pointless.
and since they're going to be hosting the images on another site, you won't even be able to hover to find the name, which is incredibly dumb. sorry, mods, but if i'm looking to app into your game and i'm wanting to avoid certain people, i would like to know by the taken list alone that 'oh, you have that bucky/harry potter/naruto/korra/whoever it is that i'm trying to avoid'. that's why usernames are up. if i don't want to join a game with so and so in it, finding out after i've apped and psyched myself up to play in the game that oh, they're actually my castmate? that's pretty stupid.
Not the one trying to defend a group of people I don't belong to. I'm in the game. They want in the game, they'll get there. They will also either learn to deal with who is playing, or they'll drop out. And the day will go on, the sun will set and rise, and you may be fanny-flustered, but there will be players who won't be.
And when this convo's said and done, I MIGHT be the one to drop a thank you note in the mod feedback page for being thoughtful to the players that DO take the time to tell them their concerns, instead of pointlessly whining and whiteknighting over non-issues on wankgate.
There, I've at least earned that asshole monicker now. Enjoy your day.
and if someone is that paranoid about maybe not having the same preferences as you then they can take five seconds, look through the usernames added to the comm, and pm you about it.
but to be honest, i think it's a stupid practice. you don't need anyone's permission to app a character, even if they are 'problematic' or whatever tumblr shit the kids are saying now. it's unnecessary. if you want to play that character and they aren't taken, then app them. It's a panfandom game, so you shouldn't be apping solely to ship with castmates anyway.
the problem with 'looking through the usernames and finding the right one to pm' is that unless they know someone/their char, they would have to click through all the usernames to find the right one. that's the point i'm trying to make here. there are plenty of people who are jumping into new-for-them fandoms or people getting into new fandoms completely and they don't know all the people who play all the characters. so they can go to the taken list and see 'oh, there's a X', but if they don't know all the x usernames, they're going to have to click through all the usernames on the comm profile. and as the comm grows, that's going to be more and more of a pain in the ass.
this is the problem. this is not a good solution. this is not helping anyone. the usernames are still tied to the comm, so there really is no 'privacy' here if that's what in-game players are complaining about. this is just more work for people that is completely unnecessary.
and, tbh, i really don't think the mods got asked to remove the usernames. i think they just didn't realize they'd have them removed on the code they took and now they don't want to change it to something simpler. that seems more likely than people whining about privacy that can't actually be maintained since that username is tied to the game. the only way they can hide it is for the mods to hide who's in the comm, which would take away any ability that any potential players had to even do so much as hunt through those usernames.
no, i think they meant musebox. i think they're also just confused as to what a musebox is. there's a few 'musebox games' starting up, and i think that might have added to their confusion.
i'll often go in pretending to be op and say i don't care just to make them look like an overinvested tittybaby. screech it a few times. get more strident every time. comedy gold.
