I can't speak on behalf of all his fans, but that wasn't my problem and I hated the ending for different reasons. I'm fine if Slaine dies or gets a tragic ending, but the key was in the execution and keeping true to his character, k? Slaine was one of the only decent characters of this show had to offer (vs flat bores and plot devices like Inaho and Asseylum) and the writing last episode ruined him. They made him give up randomly without explaining why he had doubts of his path now and stole him of his layers and complexity in the worst way possible turning him too into a convenient plot device. He seemed he did it because "the script said so."
I liked Slaine a lot and not because "he did nothing wrong" or "everything wrong" but because he changed, committed mistakes and had victories and was understandable and human that was something Asseylum and Inaho lacked: they were neither reletable or behaved like people. Besides I suspect that most sound people don't buy that watching birds fly in a blue sky can actually undo psychological, physical and emotional scars no more than they can offer peace and prosperity unless you're as infantile and out of touch of reality like Asseylum.

but to be fair (i know, lol wankgate etc), the mods have gone out of their way to keep that a legitimate avenue of play for people who aren't interested in plot, so it's not like her opinion is any less valid especially on a game feedback post. there are plenty of players who aren't interested in the plot side of the game, but don't ping the radar because they're not known wankers and don't make a big deal of it.

at least they're being obnoxiously blatant about not caring about the plot and only wanting the bare minimum threads for ac per month so everyone else will know to avoid them. i don't know their reputation, but the way they were talking to other players on the cr meme really rubbed me the wrong way.

the cr meme comments rubbed me the wrong way too. i got what they were saying, but it was worded in the rudest, most abrasive way possible. the good thing is, like you said, they showed that side of themselves already so i'll know to avoid them in the future. how do they expect to play in a game juggling only one or two threads at a time? there's slow and then there's glacial.

i'd get if it was that they hated screamers or some stupid shit like that but all i've seen is i get so upset by fake announcements and all i can think is grow up and use your goddamn brain for a day
not the most familiar with Pilot, but I thought it was IC for them to be fairly affectionate with people? obviously OCs are harder to gage than canon characters and I'm not too familiar with the character's previous relationships in game or how they've been handled, but if their app of the rest of their playing don't suggest they should be handling things otherwise then I don't see a problem (if they are being contradictory for whatever reason then please do share, as I said I simply haven't noticed any cause for criticism myself).
