This is why I rooted for Luke/Leia as a kid before I saw ESB. It was a pairing where the two characters actually liked each other, where the guy actually respected the girl’s feelings and wants and needs. And even in later canon when Leia decided to go for Han instead, Luke never got angry at her, he just accepted her decision. We need more male characters like that, and more pairings like that.

Never mind that Han is ready to walk away and let Leia and Luke be together at the end of ROTJ right before Leia tells him Luke is her twin.

Here is where she spells out all her feelings on Star Wars, with links to her whiny meta screeds, with bonus "all the ships that I don't like are basically problematic" all over the place. Han/Leia isn't okay! Neither is Han/Luke! Neither is Luke/Mara! Conveniently, Biggs/Luke is the only really acceptable Star Wars ship.

I don't interact with her in DWRP because I find her Star Wars opinions so odious, especially when she uses social justice rhetoric to bolster her opinions (Han/Leia is rape culture!). Also, the fact that she needs a #not luke tag for whenever I post about anything that’s not related to Luke or Mark Hamill is proof of how creepily obsessed she is.

what's her beef with mara/luke? i never gave a shit about the eu, and it still seems like they're the best ship ~~aside from luke/leia which i still ship despite it being disgusting~~.

Here are their issues:

Luke/Mara. Not problematic per se but I feel that this ship was very forced and therefore comes off as bland and awkward. It exists is because the EU writers were competing to get their characters paired off with Luke and Timothy Zahn won. Like Han, Mara is the opposite of Luke’s type and they have nothing to offer each other romantically.

Pairing up Luke with anyone else who’s emotionally distant, insensitive, unstable, unreliable, cold, rough, etc… This one honestly annoys me a bit because it keeps happening and it does. not. work. Stop it. We can tell from movie canon that he’s really not into people with any combination of those traits. He had to deal with enough people like that when he was younger and it really messed with his confidence. He deserves way better and he would never go for them anyway.

that she is! she also tried to get Luke & Leia to happen in a game together by pushing the ship on the Leia player. there is a pretty good reason why a lot of the Star Wars players aren't friends with her anymore or friends with her ever. she rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

if you're on her friendly side, you're good. but she is passive-aggressive as can be. i know that from experience and i give her a wide berth. not surprised people think she is the one giving gabby death threats. it is in her nature.

the sad thing is i'd ship luke/leia with her if she wanted, as it's definitely one of my guilty pleasure ships, but no way am i going near that pile of crazy.
