depends on the game, the characters, and what happened within the crau. it's one thing if it's just character growth or relationships/ships, but if it's physical changes (say someone apping in a monster version from ryslig, or the previous example of magically altered/scarred harry potter), that's a pretty drastic change to have to play against.

and pretty drastic changes can happen in the current game too, so again, i don't see the difference. usually mods make crau adapt to the new game's rules. i don't think ryslig transformations would be accepted, i've seen the wings from luceti and the pokemon from r29 been told no all the time.

usually doesn't mean always. and if the crau game isn't the same tone as the game someone's come from, it can be pretty drastic to have an average sci-fi game or a fluffy sol game and someone's crau'd in from some grimdark horror torture game where they wake up screaming with nightmares of being disemboweled.

i get what you're trying to say; that characters change with all games, but there are so many ways to fuck rules, i just don't trust a lot of dwrpers not to. i've seen sneak arounds and loopholes exploited too often and the potential is there. i don't want to app into a game without horror/torture and deal with a castmate that's from a torture game. (one example, obviously, but similar things apply all over). that and there's the potential for sex game transplants to be weird, gross, or annoying with 'i fucked another version of you'. just too much potential to go wrong and things i don't want to deal with. so i, as a responsible person, chose not to app into games that allow them. i don't like them. arguing that changes happen anyway and this might not happen isn't going to change my opinion on them.
