yeah, it's pretty fucked up. but that's part of the fun of rp. if we can't play pretend fucked up things, what's the point of playing pretend in the first place? no one is condoning the development, use, or breeding or genetically created slaves. you find it gross, okay, that's fine. i find vore gross, but i wouldn't demonize anyone playing it, because i don't have to play it with them and it's also not real
what we're making fun of is the fact that it's pretty pretentious and up it's own ass, it's an excuse to play stucky in a severely au setting and it's not even subtle, and they're getting terms for stuff wrong
the attention will die off pretty quickly because in the end, who really cares. us laughing at this place is basically the same as us pointing and laughing at a fat kid tripping on the playground

Soulmates aren't something I have a strong opinion on either way, and it's pretty clear from reading this thread that I have a very different opinion on them from other pro-soulmate anons (and I don't think they're wrong, just that I clearly like different things in my fiction). That said--
1. "Reincarnate as a villain"?? No villain pops out fully formed, so it must have been the person's life experiences that made them villainous in this life, especially given that they apparently weren't an asshole in previous ones. What you describe seems like a prime opportunity for a soulmate-induced villainous redemption arc.
2. "It's just nonsensical to think that this is going to work without a huge clash and tragedy." I know right? Isn't it great. :DDD
Personally, I actually find soulmates to be kind of boring wish-fulfillment UNLESS there's this kind of conflict caused by it. (Nothing against people who like the sweet aspects of soulmates; just not my thing.)

This is more than squick though. This is really fucking insensitive. This is fetishizing a dark, disgusting side of history that still reverbrates throughout today (and that's not including the fact that human trafficking is still a thing). Switch out the word "mouse" for the n word and see how similar they are in terms of dehumanization. Pretty glass bodyparts don't make this any less ugly and ignortant.
