I remember justyne/hat/fedora/airi from other games and she is forever a giant pain in the ass, but as a mod you just have to suck it up and be the bigger person sometimes. if it's not gonna break the game or give the player an unfair advantage, it's not like it's going to kill you to say "oops your contract had a typo in it, you should have been on the other label all along" or something if it'll make things easier for the player or at least shut them up. it's just not worth the pa tittybabyism in the long run, and there's no ~teaching her a lesson~ to be had here. airi is never not going to be a whiny bitch.

They're riding the FUCK U ANYONE CAN DIE thing a little too hard, and before anyone says it yes I KNOW I'm talking about TWD but the point stands. Sure, there should absolutely be risks and heartbreak and the loss of major characters, but picking off all of the actual interesting people and neutering potential storylines before they even come close to the emotional payoff is just straight up shitty storytelling. You can have grit and realism and harsh reality and still tell a good story.
And NGL, the flippant atmosphere in the interview re: Sara's death pissed me off. I found her annoying, but I was still somewhat invested in her story. Even if she wasn't suited for this world and probably wasn't likely to make it, guess what? Neither was season 1 Clementine. Her learning and growing and adapting a survival strategy around her mental blocks would have been so satisfying. Even if she didn't go all the way, her story ended way too soon.
And yet we still have Kenny. Fucking Kenny. How is his story not over, again?

The minecraft series bummed me out so hard. I knew going in that it was marketed for kids and had to be entertaining for the 8-12 set, but they could've put in the effort and made something for kids that adults would like too. The fact that the game is so sandboxy really shouldn't matter -- creative writing gave us the poem at the end, some really interesting ideas of reality and creativity, and if they'd gone in a less lazy "fuck it, they're kids, give 'em pig jokes and the guy from ratatouille, quick we gotta cash in while people still play" direction it could have been so much more engaging and fun.

a couple of weeks, complete with the most bullshit revisions you ever heard of. they asked me for things that were already in the app, I pointed them out, then I had to wait a bit longer before getting hit with another revision for yet another thing that was already in the fucking app. at that point, I asked them if they'd even read it.
I got radio silence for a week beyond that, and then I withdrew. The game died like immediately, which didn't surprise me.

this is me. I add anyone from my games who wants to be added, and I take wank in here with a grain of salt. a lot of the ~*~ABUSIVE!!!~*~ people who trigger anons just by showing up in a mutual's plurk are actually pretty okay people who made a mistake once or are perfectly fine if you only talk RP with them. other than pruning out dead plurks and removing the very, very few people who actually turned out to be human garbage, I keep pretty much everyone who wants to stay.
3 weeks on a game that did apps in a 2 week cycle. That wouldn't have been too bad, but my app got a power/item revision fired back within the first couple days that amounted to, "your character can't have (this) but they could have (this) instead" and I replied with "yes that sounds good, here's what you wrote fit into the correct section" and it took them 2 weeks to accept me. I was so annoyed at the time.

if someone's playing in a game, replying to their stuff, and generally participating, they don't owe you their full attention 24/7. being in a game doesn't mean someone has to prioritize the game you share over their other games or their museboxes.
does it suck when you're more invested in a game and a castmate/cr doesn't share that level of investment? you bet it does. i've been there. but if this important cr they're missing is some other character's constant drama, maybe they're tired of dealing with it and don't want to.

If I gave a shit about what your character was doing, I'd look for their threads. Stop posting every time your precious muse scratches their fucking nose, and then adding onto those plots to go on about how they've grown so much/how funny it is and tagging anyone who actively threads with you.

I think the last point of time where I had any sort of real interest in TVD, was when Elena was dating that med student for five minutes. Aside from that, it was mostly, I'm just trying to keep up with timeline/ I've got time to kill since the end of s4.
