Early in the conversation:
"...I'm not super sure how to explain it IC except that Kido is avoiding him/the rest of the band after what happened..."

Later in the conversation:
"What I said is that if you don't give a better option, STEVEN would believe she was pulling away from him..."

No, that's not what you said. The sad thing is that she misrepresents herself all the time like this, twisting things around to make it sound like you're being unreasonable.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-03 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
okay. i think i'm misunderstanding the situation.

quix is asking that they drop the cr because the person wont thread with her. person a is saying they don't want to? if threading with quix makes them uncomfortable doesn't dropping the cr seem like the most reasonable response?

i have done that in the past in games and just pretended the relation was never there because i had no desire to play the fallout. is that a faux pas?

I took it that Quix is saying that because the person OOCly doesn't want to interact with them, Steven is going to assume that they're "drawing away". That implies there's going to be negative consequences from it. How that manifests, who knows, but it's there.

Normally under the circumstances of this person being under duress already, I would suggest just assuming that the characters are on amiable terms, but don't interact with each other; like what Person A is suggesting from what I can tell.

There's no need to make an OOC issue into an IC one, which is what is going on here. That's an asshole move.

okay i misinterpreted it then. i thought by saying steven would assume kido was withdrawing she meant that her char would be dropping contact. i wasn't thinking that she'd try to play it out in game. thanks for clarifying.

There's a lot of irony in this making Hat upset because she's literally the queen of threatening to make her character upset/have a negative impression of characters whose players are busy or flaky oocly. I've never met anyone who is so devoted to dragging ooc interactions into IC relationships in my entire time in journal RP, especially in a negative context when people aren't doing what she wants them to.

Not saying that Quix isn't being a jerk but these entire pastebins read like the pot calling the kettle black and I'm pretty sure that no matter how shitty Quix is, Hat is definitely omitting things to make herself look better in this situation.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-03 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh hahaha

It's airi/hat/Fedora. Say what you want about Quix but shes even fucking crazier

(Anonymous) 2016-05-03 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, it doesn't change what Quix did here.

ayrt

(Anonymous) 2016-05-03 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah it doesn't she's still definitely coming off like an asshole.

This is beyond asshole levels, dude. This is outright harassment and abuse of mod powers.

I didn't say it did.

But if you read thru, they're trying to be equally controlling over each other's fun and each believe themselves to be in the right. Two controlling rpers clashing is pretty all whats happening here.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-03 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I did read through. Asking someone to hold off on a plot to give them time to fucking breathe, and then jumping ship to another band and being upset at the assumption that someone assuming this means no more CR ever and thus blocking them out of say on what their character would do? Is not controlling.

You wouldn't be batting an eye and calling the other person controlling if it weren't another wanker.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-03 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh ho man, I'm sure someone'll have the time to start going into the deets before I can, so for now I'll just say that even in a hobby overflowing with characters, I've never met someone who reminded me of this song more.

Airi's changed her identity three or four times now but hasn't learned a thing from any of it. Quix is no angel in this situation, but as someone who watched Airi pull this in other games? This entire thing is Airi's MO to a T. She harrasses and harangues people passive-aggressively to get her way. She'll accuse someone of invalidating her feelings when they were trying to explain why something made them uncomfortable or offering a differing point of view. And like in the pastebin, she'll tell you how you're feeling and how what you're doing is wrong while gaslighting you until you feel guilty and give in, insisting that she's not doing anything you're telling her she's really blatantly doing.

Airi is very much about her feelings and her fun trumping what everyone else wants to. She'll vague plurk, anon plurk, burst into plurks to passive-aggressively state her opinion, and draw as much attention to her discomfort as she can in an attempt to make you feel sorry for her. She has a victim complex a mile long and when she doesn't get her way she gets vindictive and petty.

I played with Fedora/Hat a lot back in the LJ days of DDD. After a few months it became clear she had absolutely no control over her life and RP was making it worse. You either had to be 100% behind her, or she would be convinced you were trying to bring her down. You'd want to be concerned over her mental and physical health, but you'd quickly realize she was mindbogglingly manipulative about it. I've told her several times that she should quit RP because it was clearly bad for her health, she couldn't handle communicating with others civilly, she believed everyone was against her, and she didn't know how to adapt when things didn't always go her way.

And she's still in this hobby. For goodness sake, Fedora, if you are reading this, RP was terrible for you 6 years ago, and RP is still terrible for you now. Leave and get real help. Sincerely from someone whom you didn't bully away with your attitude many years ago.
