i thought that was demis. aces are the ones that really want you to know they don't have any sex drive and will remind you every chance they get, and the fact that they fap nightly to terrible a/b/o fanfic means nothing.
Tribal lore specialist, and for the most part, yeah you're right but some addendums.
1) the Lakotas of the US/Great Lakes region also had wendigo myths 2) the whole werekin thing is so much fucking European bullshit I headdesk hard.
-> There IS a lot to do with demon possession, but they downplayed the hell out of that part after the early 1900s and several Champlagne-area murders were being done as exorcisms. Basically, people would get feverish and a few arguably con artists would "cure" them, but assuming that failed... they'd straight up kill them before the screams could infect someone else (as according to the legends, it wasn't just an evil heart, but simply hearing the screams of the dying friend/family member would let the wendigo's spirit transfer over.)
As for cannibalism, it's *barely* related, since as you said at the start, you turn into a demon antelope monster from hell, at which point it stops being remotely humanoid.
Cannibalism happened in many of the other tribes, particularly of the vital organs: hearts and flesh as some of the tribes believed it would make them stronger, (like highlander... but with cannibalism! Yaaay... my ancestors /cough) but that hasn't been in practice since the fucking 1600s when the missionaries were like "We must save all these poor misguided children." I mean that would be like saying all Catholics are cannibals. It's just misrepresenting the very concepts. But there were definitely some religious services that involved cannibalism, and the missionaries were like ".... well we kind of have that too! So modernize with us."
And there's some documented cases of the missionaries being badasses and surviving torture and shit to earn respect -> which MIGHT be how the wendigo myth got more "demonic possession" in legend, but it was a huge court case, especially in Canada, because it shifted the idea from what exactly each tribe was allowed to do individually, but still had to abide by greater US & Canadian law -- especially since the pair of "wendigo hunters" were not exclusive to one tribe. They would travel throughout so the tribes didn't really have the easy means TO try them for murder.
i was already familiar with the windigo myth (my mom is a fanatic for native culture) when i saw shit like until dawn and that one supernatural episode that featured them. both were disappointing that they didn't look anything like the creatures of the actual myth or follow it at all. i'm glad to know i'm not the only one.
you can always count on a bunch of people who identify as lesbian/bi to come by to endlessly scrutinize and complain about two women in a relationship in this stupid hobby for maladjusted shut-ins.
from everything i've seen, the movie's getting universally panned. like, as bad as mras imagined ghostbusters got panned. every character is somewhere between boring and wildly inconsistent.
so expect a fuckton of harleys, a bunch of jokers, anyone else that's slashable, and curiously very few deadshots for some strange reason...
A shipping game where your character is randomly assigned someone to be shipped with upon acceptance. And there's no way to get a new partner unless one of you drops.
