yeeeah tracer was my first pick for who would be revealed as gay/bi just 'cause... yeah. there was a lot of just plain homophobia about it but a lot of other people have yet to unlearn the whole 'a butch lesbian is bad representation by default so never think a woman with more masculine leanings is gay because that's BAD' thing.
"butch women are just stereotypes and thus bad representation because all lesbians in media are depicted as butch" is sort of like that adage about bi women in m/f relationships. It keeps being passed around, and yet nobody can really name many butch women or any butch lesbians in media which were anything but background joke character in the 80s-90s. And when asked, no one can name the mythical problemtic bis in m/f relationships, despite claiming they're everywhere.
And then when asked the most butch they can manage is maybe Xena, who was long haired and ran around in a leather dress. Actual butch women, not futch, or a extremely femme girl who just wears jeans and is labeled butch for some damn reason are pretty much shunned as anything but joke characters, because god forbid your lesbians not be fap worthy for dudes.
I totally support lesbian Zarya. To make a badass butch who gets to be more than "isn't it hilarious how unattractive lesbians are? she'll totally die alone" jokes in mainstream media would be refreshing.

The only butch lesbian i can think of in popular fiction is Big Boo from Orange is the New Black. Of lesbian representation, femmes definitely get the lion's share (which still isn't all that much).
