what really burns my biscuits is that it's not even that they don't like me, or my character, or ship the things I ship. the reason is that they (all of them, plural they) habitually drop PSLs because they don't consider them as "important" as main game tags, and they make no effort to fix this instead of just acknowledging it as something bad that they do.

that's a matter of preference over right/wrong, though. i prioritize game tags over psls. i prioritize psls over memes. game > psls > memes > /anything else. that might just be how they see things and maybe they just can't keep up with psls on top of game tags. it's not something 'bad', it's just that they have different priorities than you do. you need to find rp partners who either aren't in games or who don't prioritize games over everything else. they don't have to 'fix' anything. you do.
