are they actually withholding the popular character as leverage or are they just tagging out with the character they want to play more that doesn't have as much cr and it just seems like withholding?
i've known people who do the leverage approach. a friend once told me that she withheld her canon character, who was extremely popular, from people who wouldn't tag her oc because she was offended people liked the canon character (who was from a popular canon) more than her oc.
i've also known people who apped two characters, one more popular than the other, who weren't trying to be shits about it. they just struggled to get cr with the unpopular character and would tag out more with them, while being inundated with cr whenever they posted with the popular one.
I can see why someone would put in more effort with the character who needs it to have any CR at all than the character who's guaranteed to have threads.
don't fucking bother, most of this community is just people going up to complaints or factual statements saying but what about this? couldn't it be this? when the point's barely related or just obviously not what someone's talking about. i don't know if they think they're facilitating conversation or playing devil's advocate but all they're doing is making fucking idiots of themselves.
Most embarrassing recent example of this was the RPA thread making fun of picky eaters snd someone was like WELL WHAT ABOUT MEEEEEEE I HAVE DANGEROUS ALLERGIIEEESS
all of this. i'm so fucking tired of people responding to a general complaint with "BUT BUT WHAT ABOUT THIS? DID YOU THINK ABOUT THIS?"
hey asshole (not you, ayrt), if i was thinking about that specific thing, i would have mentioned it. since i'm not, then obviously i'm not talking about that one fucking exception, am i? FUCK OFF.
