Above anons have some interesting views and input, though I'd like to guess an additional reason why this meme is so annoying: the only people who post this meme are the TEE HEE OF COURSE NOT I'M SO CUTE types, and so the plurks always end up devolving into other people assuring the op they're as adorable as they think they are.

another person who actually loves the game a lot but yeah. i don't mind it being a slow game at all and actually like backtagging, the sandboxy/DR with the structure of a game works for my life's schedule. and others i guess since it's a side-game for a lot of people... but some people take a month+ to respond to threads once. i'm not the fastest by any means but when i'm waiting to see if a square's possibly filled or not for over four months... smh.
this is also a game in which newbies really have to make the effort to tag out, too. i almost dropped when i first joined but ended up focusing on tagging other people and reaching out first, and now i'm in a good place.

yep. maybe it was the new game rush but it just ended up being a ton of threads that were pretty dull, and then a few of the interesting ones getting dropped when something new popped up. really disappointing.
the answer is either that they don't actually have digestive issues and use it for pity points, or that they do have them and are too irresponsible to take care of themselves. also, if they do have them, irritating their symptoms would just give them a perfect reason to keep being whiny and excuse why they don't do anything.
Hypable made some stupid online poll called Battleships where ships from popular fandoms go head to head. Yuri on Ice and Voltron were involved with Victuuri and Klance, respectively. You can pretty much guess it'll be shit.
Both fandoms were using bots and creating multiple accounts to bump up the votes. The staff at Hypable found out there was cheating, so they restarted the poll.
Some Spanish Klance fans at Facebook started a plot to "get back" at the Victuuri fans by sabotage (read: make it look like they (the victuuris) were the ones doing the cheating the second time around). More cheating ensued anyway, proving that shipping is srs bizness.
Both pairings got disqualified and that f/f Supergirl ship won instead. Cue massive salt storm from both Victuuri and Klance stans.

Yeah the speed at which some people respond is ridiculous, even considering a normal "slow" pace. I'm personally not a "will back tag into forever!" person because I like to advance forward. I know there's no plot in the game, but I kinda like to know with certainty if my character actually did end up trying that one kink for the first time three months ago so that I know what the fuck to say if a different character brings the kink up in conversation ICly. It's awkward having to go and ask the person who has been sitting on my thread "hey did this actually happen", so I don't bother. I just flub it and end up retconning later if I need to.

You're right. Loghain, for instance, isn't pretty so nobody in the fandom ever really cares or tries to defend him. I only recall one character in Inquisition who actually points out the subtle flaws in the overall treatment of Loghain that didn't occur to me while playing Origins.

i really like anders as a character-- i like how petty he can be, how noble he is, his wholehearted dedication to the cause. i romanced him and cringe-laughed at his ridiculous declaration of love (~i lay awake thinking of you for THREEEE YEARRRS~), but was charmed by it all the same. the ending of da2, i killed him, but i was sad about it-- and i really enjoyed how thought-provoking the whole issue was.
but with da fans it's all PROTECT THE PRECIOUS MAGES and ANDERS DID NO WRONG and just like you say they all have to be perfect or they all have to be the worst of the worst-- the way sebastian is demonized in particular is kind of sad to see. it's not as if anders is some pinnacle of goodness either-- like how he gets + friendship points if you sell fenris away into slavery, but anders/mage stans fall all over themselves to explain away how it wasn't anders being a shitty and terrible human being, bioware just wrote him wrong, their own damn character and my eyeballs practically roll themselves out of my head. anders being glad that fenris gets a "taste of his own medicine" as it were and no longer being a champion of LOCKING ALL MAGES UP sounds perfectly in character to me

i used to be called intimidating a lot when i was new to ljrp and it was more of a mindscrew than i care to admit. i posted that meme a couple of times because i was still scared that people saw me as a big bad bogeyman, but now that i'm more secure in myself and my current social circle, i don't really need it anymore.
yeah i have legit stomach issues and i'm calling bullshit on their ibs or whatever it is they claim to have because if you really do have stomach problems, you can't eat shit like that unless you want your digestive system to be fucked up for the next day or two.
