the sad thing is they could have made this work. all they needed to do was talk more about how being on sex island affected his faith and worldview in general. yes, luke was an important catalyst, and yes his feelings for another man is a big part of his struggle. but what kind of person is he now after all of that? how did the love of his life influence his interactions with other people in general? how did being stuck on a sexy jamjar affect his issues with control, personal agency, and sexuality? there's a lot that a competent player could work with here.
I'm pretty familiar with Matt Murdock, and he's not exactly the sort even after a sex game to go OUT IN PUBLIC and go GOD WHY SHOW ME A SIGN. In private maybe. Maybe. But sure as fuck not on an open network post anyone could see and comment on.
Okay Flyboy on the off chance someone links you to wg, here's some writing tips for the next game you try to force yourself onto. All that shit with Luke goes in the personality section. History section is where he went and what he did while he was there, and he wasn't only doing Luke. You don't even MENTION him in your personality. Wangsting on a network to God isn't something he'd do. If he's asking for help he'd ask for help, not cry pointlessly about why god why god. If his experiences in Eros altered his outlooks and interests and behaviors this ALSO goes in personality and is very important to make note of. You can't have too much detail when describing CRAUs, and you have almost none beyond "Luke and Matt fucked". Talk about his likes and dislikes, his hobbies, what he does when he's not crying on the network to God, talk about his friends and relationships and for the love of tiny kittens and puppies make sure your samples match what you have in the personality section! You can't spend one line saying he has self esteem issues and then make your samples 100% emo angsty bullshit.
SEX-Wɪɴɢ Pɪʟᴏᴛ 4 days ago I sent them a message asking for revision instead of decline because tbh I think they're being a little unfair.
SEX-Wɪɴɢ Pɪʟᴏᴛ 4 days ago If they had those problems then they should have mentioned them last time, but they didn't. Also, those seem like simple things to fix. This is a game, not a high-level writing exam.
Oh man, Jackie. I always feel bad avoiding her because we share some canons and she's always super enthusiastic and open to threading. She's a sweetheart, but just... not a good writer.
The thing is, she still has plenty of friends willing to play with her, and there's no reason she can't have her harmless ooc fun in psls and sandbox games. Her Buttpat Brigade should be directing her to places where she'll actually have fun, or helping her improve with gentle constructive criticism, not telling her that she totes should have gotten in!! to a game that was obviously beyond her capabilities and setting her up for disappointment.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-05 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)i don't even know this person but this is hilarious to me. the app summary of the crau does basically sound like someone summarizing their psl.
the characterization is just weak as hell tho. i cringed hard at that network post.
