had a former eway player tell me she was good friends with koji and always got along well with her.
and then koji exploded at her when she came to her in private asking for help on something with another player crossing the line (it was a player she'd wanted no contact with, she'd been polite about it, player threw a fit at her over it), basically telling her it was all her fault and she should just ignore the other player even when she gets approached by her. made her feel even more unwelcome in the game than she had already and she dropped not long after.
not surprisingly, the player in question was one of koji's close buddies who always seemed to get a free pass on things.

I've been in the game nearly 6 months and I don't know who the fuck she is. Never heard her name mentioned. I don't think she's in my plurk circle and I never use the game discord.

Koji's made a few Plurks reminding people to not bug her personal plurk for mod shit over the last six months or so. It definitely sends a mixed message with plurks like that [redacted] shit and they qere pa as fuck, but she was doing that before this wank.

I remember her talking about it much earlier last year, and maybe one or two other vague mentions since then. She has definitely not enforced that boundary and regularly replies to people on plurk about all kinds of game topics if she isn't bringing them up herself. That doesn't excuse her basically giving a middle finger to Alex where Alex could do nothing about it.

If they haven't mentioned it since the one announcement nine months ago, I could see how that would probably confuse newer players here, but newer players aren't at the center of this at the moment.

idk honestly as someone who plays anime/animated characters, i'm of two minds about this. while it sucks to see someone outright say they basically think my character/taste is trash or that they ~can't imagine~ animated characters and live action ones interacting - and i've noticed an influx of this lately on bs - it at least saves me from wasting their time and mine. otherwise, i'd just get a lukewarm "sure, bb, i want to play!!!1" and then radio silence or one pity tag and they ghost.
