it also doesn't help that female characters tend to be held to a higher standard when it comes to shipping. if you seek out m/f you're a thirsty cockhop. if you seek out f/f you're an ooc neckbeard. if you play the female half of a canon ship, you need to have your character pining for the other half for the rest of your days in game. if your character isn't in a canon ship then that's just proof that they must be chaste and pure no matter how old they are. is it any wonder why male characters are more popular?
foot binding is still an issue for some women from places that practice it. it's mostly outdated now, but there are living examples of women with permanent disfigurement from it.
yeah like i'm sorry but i'm not gonna just believe shit some rando says on the internet when their only "proof" is some suspiciously cropped screencaps because i've seen way too many shooped vendettas over the years.
Vegeta. I don't care about what the scouter says about his power level, I really like his character development over the course of the series and I really like where he is at the end of Super.
yeah it'd be a very unique thing to play out. obvs a lot depends on whatever the actual setting of the game is, but seeing as a lot of dwrp games are larger-than-life in their own right, it wouldn't be surprising if her in-game worst-case scenario downward spiral involved starting to suspect that this isn't really the "real world" she's been dreaming of all this time either, and is just some kind of other different "game" where strings are being pulled by some other force beyond--again--and she's just can't perceive the string-pulling this time, which is almost worse in its own way. (this would also be appropriately accurately meta in its own right, har har canon consistency)
and even if she doesn't get that bad there's also the ongoing existential crisis of being essentially a computer program who can never be anything more, even in this "real world", no matter how hard she tries to hide her robotness. cue maybe trying to get closer and closer to being "human" via upgrades if the game allows it or something, uncanny valley side-effects likely. trying to cope with that shit in general's bound to be interesting
tbh all this is infinitely more appealing to ,e than trying to launch a ship with her at some point in-game (and she'll probably be holding a torch for ddlc's mc for some time anyhow lbr), but ngl if she ended up falling for some poor unsuspecting sap her age and started getting very alarming about it that'd just be more frosting on the weirdness pie. (with extensive discussion and go-ahead from the other player ofc). so many possibilities, so little time...but i hope one day i can pull it off too anon
there are a couple of insane villains that i think would be fun to play just for the hell of it but i can never really bring myself to play (let alone app) them anywhere. mainly because keeping up that much insanity would be hard and draining.
This. In my game, we have a warning list, but you still can't pass AC for a month with threads that happen after the month is over. If you didn't already do the activity and just forgot to hit up the entry, the warning list isn't going to save you.
Honestly everyone in there seems very reasonable? I was expecting to at least see an argument but they're just discussing the missteps and deciding to keep things simple.
it's actually pretty hilarious, since he flies under the radar for so long because he hangs out with rich people and throws fancy dinner parties and everybody loves him. the only reason he gets caught is because he recreates the Wound Man on a victim and one of the investigators (Will Graham) comes around to his office later to ask him some questions, notices the Wound Man diagram he has, and then Hannibal straight up stabs him
and in the tv series while everyone is agonizing over who the ripper is, there's hannibal in the corner making oblique cannibalism jokes to entertain himself
"like they're not even being true to their canon" - ugh, too real. As a TAZ rper myself, this seems to be a problem with ninety percent of the others I've encountered in the wild
That tinfoil theory wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. The mods and their team of ass-lickers took it very personally that anyone would ever assume a game needed a smut AC and they threw a huge tantrum when CoA was announced. Unsurprisingly, they did a good deal of the shitstirring and backstabbing in Zodion, too.
