oh wow, the dave is played by a mod? he's absolutely terrible. the player has no grasp on his voice whatsoever

for someone who's canon blind, what's wrong with dave's voice?

i've always thought her dave was ic and i'm canon familiar. it might be a matter of opinion.

canonically, dave is a wannabe cool kid who speaks incredibly informally and makes use of a lot of slang. he thinks he's hilarious, and his style of humor is based in verbose, oftentimes somewhat vulgar wordvomit. there's also usually a rhythm to his words, since he listens to a lot of rap and his speaking patterns have been influenced by that. here are a few examples of how he speaks

recolle's dave comes off as stiff, formal, and incredibly bland, which dave should never be. they seem to be a fast tagger - and that's good - but the quality of their tags is clearly taking a hit

Their tags have always been lackluster. Giving nothing but a line of dialogue is fine in certain situations but I've had threads with their Dave where they've given me nothing to work with. I'd rather see them take their time and write a quality tag than give me five extra short tags.

not in recolle but they're the same in awash. i think that's just how that mun plays, because they also play annabeth from pjo the same way.

Stopped playing with them in awash for this reason. Giving me one line of dialogue (in some cases only 3 or 4 words long) that doesn't advance the conversation gets difficult to respond to after awhile.

I also agree that their Dave sounds stilted but Dave is a difficult character to pull off for the reasons listed above (Andrew Hussie is just a better dialogue writer than the majority of casual lpers), so I'll usually overlook that if the player is fun to tag. It's just that in this case they aren't.

dave definitely isn't an easy character to pull off, so i'm willing to give leeway if a player is making an effort. this one feels like they're not even trying.

they have an hmd. i'll link this in there but specific crit couldn't hurt.

he was better when the game had first started, but then he went through this big "i don't want people to care about me" emo spurt and got dull after that. her dave doesn't have the magnetic draw that he should
