but "everyone in youtube is asking for it" =/= "lots of people think are good"

there's a whole "subgenre" of youtube videos that is reacting/raging/laughing at bad things so you'll see TONS of shit being asked over and over for the sake of a funny video. it doesn't mean anything when it comes on opinions of quality.

yes, but the games they use are usually bad in a funny way, like happy wheels or that ridiculous eviebot thing. or any number of cheap abominations you find on steam.

also "raging platformers" are super popular for youtube videos. or even if it wasn't programmed as a raging platformer, like mario maker, those are the custom levels they try.

i mean, most famously, the Best Friends Play run of it. like they spend almost the entire time dunking on the game

admitting there are parts of it they didn't mind or thought were well done isn't the same as saying it's a good game or saying it wasn't super racist. woolie has said a lot about this on his twitter, even. like idk, anon, their playthrough is by far one of the most popular so i'm not sure how you missed it.

That and just, the LP that made me give up on watching them ever again was their Chrono Trigger one. Which probably wasn't helped by the fact that I know too much about that game so their pointless bullshit made me want to punch someone.

And yet if they're colabbing with someone else? I am able to tolerate them, if it's on the third parties channel that is.

yeah, but to me they're obnoxious in an endearing sort of way, unlike the markiplier camp of lpers which literally just screech and holler and make overexaggerated XD faces on camera for laughs. humor is always very ymmv but i do find them legitimately funny in their commentary.

that would make sense, because i can't stand markiplier either.

and yet i like jacksepticeye. i dunno. maybe it's the difference between it feeling like jack/sean is sincere in his really loud enjoyment, while the others sound like they're screaming "I'M FUNNY! AREN'T I FUNNY? TELL ME I'M FUNNY! PLEASE LOVE ME!" which is grating.

i'm just replying to what anon is saying about raging not being good for videos. yes, it is. the conversation got derailed. dbh is being asked to played for the same reason movie watchers/reviewers are asked to watch and make a video the room or the star wars sequels.

nobody said that raging isn't good for videos, full stop. just that you need a certain kind of game for a rage video to actually be entertaining and not just a frustrating slog. dbh is not one of them, unless someone makes a really short, cut-down video with just the "funny moments" of their reaction. nobody wants to watch eight to ten hours of "omg muh racism! boooo boooo racism! racist! racist! boooo! you suck david cage! you nazi! booo!"

idk, the sbf playthrough was pretty fun, but a lot of the humor is the awful decisions they make. i'd say it's half making fun of david cage, half them just fucking around

i think you missed my earlier comment that started this thread, where a lot of people who don't like dbh find humor in how tone deaf and pretentious it is. it's...not rare at all, that's probably the one i've seen around the most.
