this was a long, long time ago, but i think my biggest moment of schadenfreude in this hobby was when i was still modding and one of our old problem players became a mod herself. she was never a highkey wanker, but she always had some complaint or another. to be fair to her, some of the complaints were valid, but as burnout settled in she got more and more nitpicky, being a pain in our ass up until the game closed. soon after she joined up to be a mod at her new home game and eventually became one of the head mods... and once the honeymoon period ended, started whining about how everyone was so nitpicky and that nobody appreciated what the mods were doing for them. yeah, it doesn't feel so good, does it?

exactly my point. it's impossible to just gear up and play an npc i like because of it. wols suck.

It was the worst movie I've seen in a while, super cringe.

This was over a decade ago, but essentially: some players in our tiny little fandom game decided that they didn't like some of the mod rules (including things like "maybe no graphic smut with 13 year-olds") so they formed their own game with the exact same setup on InsaneJournal, including copying/pasting the premise information.

Barely anyone joined and it tanked in a few months.

Still waiting. I'm not constantly looking out to see if it will happen to this person but it would feel kind of good if it did.

Jamie finally got what was coming to her for being so fat. The best part was the comeuppance came from her mean girl sidekick 'friends'. Moral of the story? Don't be a wanky bitch who is also fat.

tbf a lot of game applications are built around the assumption that any character worth playing is deep and multidimensional so it's not surprising that that belief would start soaking into people's minds

+1. sorry to wols but i've tried, and the ones motivated enough to join games all seem to be doing it so they can try to ship, and if possible multiship, with any npcs they can find. i've never been harassed in a way that made it worth going to the mods, but it was pretty fucking offputting to be asked point blank when my character would be "ready" to fuck a certain wol, as if it were inevitable. also very offputting to be told ooc that two wols were discussing my character's dick and one of them wanted my headcanon on that so their character could one-up the other one by being "right." i don't want to smut or ship with bad self-inserts and i never will, no matter how they try to bend their personalities to fit the character i'm playing.

it would have been obvious except we live in a reality where people believe the stupidest things imaginable about the human reproductive system (and also about everything else) so it was entirely plausible that anon thought guys can't pee when they're hard

as a wol player i really hate wols like that because it ruins things for the rest of us who aren't interested in shipping and genuinely just want to play out non-shippy npc interactions.
