getting real sick and tired of finding games i'm really into but they either die in two months because the mods just forget about them, or are rushed and barebones and die in two months, or the tdms are flocked with shitty players so only their friends app and then the game dies in two months, or established games have app cycles 4 times a year and you're competing with a huge pool of people who are also desperate to not be in games that die in two months

there were a lot of sighworthy people all over that tdm if it's the game i'm thinking of. think i'll be steering clear of that one.

anon, not for nothing, the game may not be to your tastes, but

you were looking at a game that wears its influences (the yakuza games and youkai mythology) on its sleeve. those were very purposefully selected jp words, that absolutely have meaning in context.

now if you're not into that, that's fine, but that doesn't mean it was randomly slapped together.

What games even have app cycles like that? I thought it's usually monthly unless there's a cap situation.

abraxas and ximilia are every other month apps and they're capped. so they might be what the person is thinking.

out of interest do you ever offer to help out the mods of the games you're interested in but end up dying?

Their post mentions mods forgetting about the games, you can't really step up in cases of mod abandonment (ex. Springwood).

I'm guessing no though in cases where there are calls for mods.

mods didn't even ask for help, they just closed up shop for whatever reasons

sometimes it's justified but it's no less frustrating
