agreed tbh. i know plenty of people who have gotten commissions of their wols with their favorite npcs but it's always the same one or two npcs so it feels like any other canon/fanon ship that someone just happens to like.

You're right, it is weird that the player plot that was pkanned before the endgame announcement, is happening completely separately from the event log, and is happening two months before the game ends is so heavily tied to the endgame.

Yes, it's 100% completely separate and entirely unrelated. Absolutely. Maybe the event was planned before the endgame announcement, but the mods are using it as part of the endgame plot now. It's weird and incredibly lazy, and it really turns me off to the endgame plot overall.

while i’m canon reviewing: their day 1 fandom-assigned f/f pairing, which is their most popular. the other girl is dull and the relationship doesn’t highlight my favorite parts of the character. there is another easy f/f option that really lets her shine and a super toxic f/m one with the fandom bike that i want to psl out.

I understand why so many people go all-in on tfln (it's like junk food, also we skew "adult with job" age so not as much time for big logs/PSLs despite the desire to RP) but I hate that it's basically the town square of bakerstreet and you can't "meet" new players anywhere else if you're not in a game.

TFLN's quasi ic interactions are really annoying me lately though.

My personal experience is that people get a feel for if they actually want to try more substantial threads with your character through texting memes/TFLN. Once you're out there, you're more likely to get bites on memes like "body heat" and "insomnia" and smut picture prompt memes.

da but i don't even see what there is to be upset over. it sounds like a player had been planning a player plot for a while and the mods decided to work it into the endgame because it tied in thematically. i think that's kind of cool honestly, and i wish more mods would be willing to do stuff like that with player plots.

i think there's a difference between tying player plots into regular events and tying them into endgame, personally. it can be hard to care about player plots if your character doesn't know the character or canon the plot is from or if you as a player don't know or dislike the canon in question. this plot is great for fans of the canon but feels a little less great as a ribbon on the end of a game.
