people who don't contribute to plotting and just say 'we can do whatever you want to do,' what's your logic here? is it because you don't feel like planning something? is it because you don't want to write with the other person, but you're just too polite to say no? i don't get it. rp is supposed to be a collaborative thing, but when i ask someone what they want to do and the answer is 'idk whatever you pick,' it really doesn't sound like you're all that interested........

their logic is they want you to do all the work. whether or not they actually want the thread is irrelevant, because anyone who says that will be a chore to write with.

In my case I am very much a "let's see how shit goes" player so I'm shitty at plotting anything beyond "our characters meet, shit happens" so when I say "whatever works" I literally mean it. Because I have yet to have a thread go in a way I can't write through on my end.

i'm very good at spinning ideas in interesting directions but very poor at generating the initial idea

i like to let cr develop naturally rather than trying to force it along on rails to fit what i want out of the cr. the most fun i've ever had rp-wise has been when my friends and i just threw characters at each other with absolutely no expectations as to how the cr was going to go and let it just go however it went.
