Alisa was banned from one game for player harassment. In previous games she was notorious for this and I know several players who brought these issues to the mods and were told to suck it up, more or less. She can be perfectly normal but once she’s shipping with someone, her behavior escalates. Timing people’s tags, policing who they tag, getting angry at anyone “stepping in” on her ships, throwing people who politely decline a ship under the grudge tractor, insane ex-GF blowing up of discord…

It’s difficult to share caps without throwing people who didn’t deserve the harassment under the bus. Which is precisely why she’s flown under the radar for so long.

She’s no firebenderjess. You could even tag her without shipping and be okay … but she’d drop you anyway because she only cares about ships. Ultimately not worth the headache to engage.

As for Jade, Alisa’s current shiny. That’s all I know.

yea, all alisa's bad behavior is from one-on-one stuff, so it's difficult to share deets without immediately outing yourself. it's also almost all ship-related, so most players will probably have the impression that she's totally harmless, just slow and flaky.

a big factor too is because she gives off such otherwise friendly and enthusiastic energy, she has a lot of friends who are very ride-or-die with her. so once she's turned on someone, she expects all her friends to follow suit and ice that person out.

which is pretty normal toxic friend group behavior, but it does complicate matters and is probably why people haven't brought her up before, since they can't provide proof without outing themselves.

alisa sounds pretty toxic, but why does jade keep coming up? it seems that when a name is the common denominator, they might be the real issue. or a mean girl squad honestly. curious if there's anyone else affected by those two...

Jade can be aggressive in the way she types, but from what I've known of her all this time she's just very enthusiastic about shipping too and that's why she and alisa get along so well because they're both ride or die when it comes to shipping.

Alisa is one of those people who you'd probably enjoy hanging around with if you like the same things as she does because she will make you feel really special and give you all the attention. If she isn't interested in you, she just drops you but is still civil. If she wants to ship with you and you don't want to give it, that's when she becomes a huge problem. I don't know about others, but I avoid Jade just because I don't want to get Alisa's ire since she can definitely hold a grudge and attack you for daring to get in the way of her shipping.

sounds legit, but from what the thread is saying, it's a bit worse than "aggressive typing"... bullying is a more hardcore allegation and clearly they're the dream team when it comes to that.

leading a campaign in DMs to fuck up the old mods and bullying players out of game through their team-up isn't cute behavior.

Jade bullies people by talking smack about them in DMs. She acts all innocent "poor me, I'm Jade," but truth is, she can't handle not getting her way and is smart enough to keep toxic crap on the dl. She keeps on bullying and harassing until she gets what she wants. It's no surprise folks are scared to speak out, especially cause she's tight with the mods. That's how she gets away with all this crap.

not sure if she's still doing it, but jade was also helper mod for the new mod team after all the old mods left. a lot of the changes to expiation were clearly based off of jade's preferences

so while i'm not sure how complicit the new mod team is in jade's actions, i certainly don't trust them with how much sway they allow her to have

I know she is vocal about her dislikes and was very enthusiastic about her role as helper mod, but I can't say much about the other stuff just because I don't follow her expiation stuff at all. Alisa has always been a pain in the ass in comparison, and she has given me a headache before, but it was so long ago that I had hoped that she had grown up since then. Seeing her doing the same thing but somehow worse recently makes me less charitable with her, and seeing her finally get banned for it didn't surprise me.

Jade wasn’t the main interest point here. Alisa’s the one who has been causing problems. It sounds like someone has beef with Jade enough to namedrop and plenty of people don’t enjoy her character interpretation but I don’t expect deets beyond that.
