nobody with two brain cells to rub together can be ignorant of the game's colorism issue (or the fact that most characters are indistinguishable except for their hair), so there's not really any need to "spread the word" unless all their friends are dumb

all they have to do is uninstall/stop playing/stop engaging with the fandom, and engage with other fandoms instead. low-effort peer pressure is much less consequential than dragging friends into another fandom you find fun

ngl it's really funny to see white americans making a huge deal out of this because all of the actual south american players i know have no problems with these characters. in fact they're excited to see a region that represents them.

a friend of mine is angry because apparently some of the choices made with names and certain lingo aren't just poor or lacking in representation, they're outright offensive or used in a manner it shouldn't be applied

it's along the lines of movies being made following loosely along mythology. percy jackson. american gods. games like god of war. i can't tell you how many urban fiction fantasy books i read that incorporate deities of all cultures. this game isn't even the first. it feels weird that someone's getting this mad over a singular gacha game doing it when other gacha games do as well.
