i commented earlier but tbh the style still reminds me more of the morrowind concept art, which feature similar sketchily drawn dark elves with big lips:

that said, art is subjective and you're allowed to hate this person's icons (in which only ONE has the "pink lips" you seem to hate so much), but all this virtue signaling under the assumption that the artist/player is an antisemitic racist and trying to get them straight up banned from RP is even weirder behavior to me than the OC themselves. like this thread feels straight out of some twitter purity discourse.

so i'm not the anon who reported them and honestly i don't care enough to do so or to want them to get banned off of bakerstreet. that being said.

i don't even see a little bit what you see in that art. the dark elves in that concept art all lack the signature sloped forehead and giant hooked nose that are the giant, glaring problem with that art and make it feel like an antisemitic caricature, and the fact that you don't see the different between that and the, idk, fucked up hugo weaving aesthetic of morrowwind's dark elves deeply confuses me.

especially because typically antisemitic facial features + blood drinking/blood libel + a swindler whose out to take people's money is adding up into a gross pile of tropes. if he was just a dark skinned vampire who looked like a slightly more racist version of jafar, i'd understand where you are coming from, but there are several things piling up here at once and it makes for a gross-feeling whole.

i get why people are hesitant to bring it up directly, though. art is very personal, so maybe it wouldn't be received well. i guess we'll never know, since it's not like anyone here is gonna talk to the player, lol

no one is saying the player is an antisemitic racist. no one is really worried about whether this is their core nature or an ideological statement or whatever. it doesn't matter. they made something bad that invokes a shit-ton of tropes and stereotypes that have been used to justify harming and killing people for centuries. that is bad. it does not indicate or invoke any kind of ~inherent trait~ on the part of the player to say, wow, this is a sack of negative stereotypes they're putting out there.

and no one is trying to get them ~banned from RP forever.~ theyre calling the attention of the mods in one community to an example of the one specific character that is a problem. if this player rolled in later with a character that is not a stack of negative stereotypes, no one would say boo.

the thing is, most of "the west" is built on the backs of colonialism and racial oppression (and a lot of other sins, but that's a whole different ball game.) if you grow up in those environments, you are going to unwittingly absorb some racist thought patterns, and it takes some time and effort to dig your way out. it just happens, and it's not a personal failing.
