it's fascinating to me you all consider the most obvious trans bait headcanon as 'weird'

almost like y'all don't like trans headcanons period

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
dwrp doesn't like trans headcanons, are you new here?

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
it used to be gay headcanons now it's this

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
nah you can effectively play gay headcanons with no blowback as long as you no homo in your app.

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
not totally true. look at the old kennedy wank aka That Gayve. ppl did not like non-canon gays in games. though dwrp was way more okay w bisexual headcanons so column a, column b.

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
and it feels like back then people were okay with bisexual headcanons for the same reason they're fine with bi/pansexuality becoming the norm in video game romances: they can still fuck the character they got the hots for

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
kind of reflective of the times if you think about it

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
haha you're right we don't

this is also a perfect example of how everyone assumes flamboyant, twinky male characters are automatically "obvious trans bait" instead of another form of masculinity

i would care that this happens much less if this ever happened to non-twinky, flamboyant men even once but it never does because you people are one note and boring

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
'you people'

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
Okay but this does happen to non-twinky, flamboyant men.

Like it really sounds like this is personal for you anon, and that's fine.

But there's nothing wrong with trans people seeing themselves in this femininity either. It's not an attack on feminine men, and I say this as a feminine man (which gets me called a raging f*ggot, which I am. But I digress). It's no skin off my nose if trans people see themselves represented in a fictional character because at the end of the day this stuff is fictional.

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
i didn't say anything was wrong with trans people seeing themselves in these characters, only that when trans headcanons come up it's always about characters like this. i have never seen anyone attempt a trans headcanon in this hobby with a character who wasn't like this.

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
honestly this entire discussion has made me once more internalize that people are incredibly judgmental when it comes to anything lgbt, that no matter what you do someone somewhere is going to accuse you of biphobia/homophobia/transphobia/erasure/whatever, so you might as well do whatever the fuck you want

like the time i got accused of playing to stereotypes for making a very flamboyant gay guy oc when i am one rl and people were swearing up and down i was a straight girl

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
you got it

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
that one particularly steams my hams because stereotypes develop for a reason, so when we all act like flamboyant effeminate men are regressive and gross we circle right back to old school homophobia

celluloid closet has a great section on the sissy stereotype in hollywood and media as a whole and i couldn't help but notice that a lot of the attitudes towards flamboyant gay men are still the same but repackaged for the times. now instead of being told it's disgusting you get people concern trolling you that it's regressive.

at least the first flavor is blatantly honest

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
It’s all blatant homophobia dressed up as transwank. Same shit new day

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
What about that one Tarkin roleplayer who had a trans headcanon for him? That guy isn’t a twink at all and he’s an old imperial general. Just because you haven’t seen that done personally before, doesn’t mean he hasn’t been done.

I just think you hate transpeople headcanons.

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
"what about this one really stupid one, huh? what now??"

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
middle-aged villain trans guy headcanon is such a fandom trope that i'm sometimes surprised seeing characters without top scars.

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
No, it’s not. The fuck?

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
yes it is. because of homophobia. many, many film antagonists are portrayed as gay or queer coded, due to that being seen as sinful and creepy. it's why so many millennial gays really love disney villains. so nowadays when younger generations go through older movies they decide that those queer coded male villains are actually trans, and we all feel very tired about it.

Re: +1

(Anonymous) 2025-02-12 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
This sounds like a fandom issue, cause all of those so called “villains” aren’t labeled as trans by the creators no matter how “queer coded”

That’s all fandom perspective

one of the most popular trans headcanons i am aware of in fandom at large is one piece's sir crocodile, a character who is so traditionally masc and manly that he calls himself "sir crocodile" and "mr. 0" and is being played by joe "red blooded american hunk" mangianello in the live action

i think this is just your confirmation bias speaking anon and you need to get over it
