same. i'm the type of shipper that can only play a ship once per person. people make it sound like red flag but it i enjoy shipping with someone a lot i won't look for a second version, and when we are done i just never pick the ship up again. i can only play it so long before i feel we exhausted the scenarios and can move on.

da but i admit i've always been fascinated when i see people saying things like they feel like they've exhausted the scenarios for a character/ship because i can't understand that feeling at all. i played one character for more than ten years across multiple games and i can still think of a ton of things i haven't done with them/directions i could take their development that i haven't played before.

+1

idk about others but for me, my interests change very often and i get bored easily, or my partner loses inspiration for their character, so eventually i just move on to the next ship or character. i rarely want to ship with more than one version of a character because usually the reason i get to that point is i already found someone who likes playing the same stuff as me and i like to keep the good memories with them.

that said if i get really deep into a ship i can probably play it for 1-3 years depending on my chemistry with the other player. the only times i'd ship with a different version of the character is because my last partner was unpleasant, so i'd be open to someone else who shares the same interest and is enjoyable company.
