I don't know how many more times I can ask "but what do you want to happen in this thread" and keep getting "here's the how and the why" instead of the "what" without losing my absolute mind

i'm a little confused by this one, can you give an example? is it something like the person responding to you with "i want them to do something super scary because [lots of background] and then [lots of consequences]" but without actually specifying what the super scary thing would be?

Essentially, with the specific aspect of "I'd like your character to do something intense to my character with [background] being the cause" but just. Won't tell me what kinds of stuff my character should do to theirs. There is no permissions sheet or kinklist.
