it's understandable, but let's not assume. looking at their plurk, they made theirs ages ago (2013?). i think the 88 thing blew up in 2019 online.

people are not assuming they are keeping themselves safe

the people this affects the most do not have the luxury to question the person as to why they chose such a particular set of numbers

it's safer to simply not engage and write this person off

i'm making no moral judgments on this person btw i'm just saying if you have a hate symbol (whether you knew it or not) on your username people have a right to not give you a chance

Anon, they said online. It's perfectly reasonable to be uncomfortable, but you could have asked, told them, or not played with them at any time. It isn't that difficult.

that being said, parent up. we’ve already been over this (someone linked this info earlier; this isn’t new) and the number could be a reference to a bunch of different things. With the addition of ‘trickster’, i’m inclined to side with the anon who guessed it was a reference to a game. The plurk account was created in 2013, and according to wikipedia that’s when the NA servers for the game went offline. Maybe a tribute?

either way, if you’re that concerned about it, go tell the player.
