Oh god, the Jormy stuff. Where Luc threw a fit because he basically assumed "i have a friend on the mod team, that means mods will always take my side!" and then reality hit him where that stopped happening and from what I recall? Luc's titty fit is what lead to Jormy stepping down from modding and leaving the game.

Timing-wise this was also directly attached to Triska and co. getting banned and if you look in the doc Triska posted to document her bullshit it mentions several times how Luc encouraged her to keep harassing the mods to bring up how he was suspicious people were talking shit about them. Which is why he wanted Jormy to come off hiatus and deal with the problem directly and then flipped out when Jormy didn't take their side. Luc also didn't participate in Ryslig's endgame because he got a warning and dropped.

He is a shit stirrer with no respect for boundaries and I don't blame any mod team that decides they don't need the drama.

luc is one of those players who think they're the 😔voice of the people😔 and pontificate all the time about what the mods should be doing. as a mod, this is annoying but it can be harmless if you don't indulge it and you tell them to knock it off. ryslig is what happens when you do the opposite and let these players think they have the mods backing them up.

Eh, not really. The whole blowup with Luc and Triska definitely made me leave quicker, but the reason my side of it went down the way it did was, in large part, because I was already overwhelmed and hiatusing to try and avoid the need to step down. That's why I wasn't openly involved in the earlier stages of the wank - I didn't want to take on that kind of responsibility when I was already right on the edge of a nervous breakdown due mostly to IRL/work stuff. That wank was also the last straw for my sense that I couldn't exist anywhere RP-related without having to be on the clock as a mod, which I just couldn't sustain when I was under that level of IRL stress.

I don't feel particularly warmly towards Luc - I think he acted like an arsehole throughout, and I think he has a history of entitlement which is fed by convincing himself that everyone who disagrees with/criticises him is a malicious actor on Tora's level - but it still doesn't feel right to let people think that he drove me out of the game. There was a lot of stuff going on that had nothing to do with RP. tbh by the time that message came through (and I did laugh at it and do a dramatic reading for my sister, it actually made me feel weirdly better about the whole situation) I had already thoroughly decided to step down from modding.

As for leaving the game - I think that had more to do with me burning a bunch more bridges with that plurk I made. Luc's bullshit was one of the triggers for that, but he didn't make me post it. Nobody made me do that, I was just really fucking tired and didn't have much of a filter left. It's quite possible I would have left the game anyway, too, because I dropped a whole bunch of hobbies around that time.

anyway this doesn't really change the context of the conversation as a whole, I just saw this the other day and have been turning it over in my mind since. It's one of those things where I feel like it's got a little lost in translation, and Luc has enough main character syndrome without giving him credit for my decisions.

logging into wankgate says more about how poor your decision making is so nothing you say could possibly matter
