Different anon, but both statements can be true? They can be toxic and still tag mels. it all depends on if the "comphet" thing is how they view it ooc or if it's something they use ic.

if they use it ic, that's pretty toxic and forces some awkwardness on to canonmates. not that i see many mels. but theres nothing in arcane, league, or other side material to suggest jayce doesn't have genuine romantic feelings for mel. jayvik works fine as a ship without erasing his feelings for mel. bi and pan people exist
