i honestly doubt either of the het alpha pairings will last any longer than tricksters, and i am still banking on that being ultimately temporary.
it's like dirk said, this isn't actually solving any of their personal problems. if anything, it's just literally sugarcoating them, and they're still going to be huge and unresolved afterwards, just more out in the open.

Heh, I'm just picking a character several people I know have already been playing for a long time. I used to be really insecure and comparing myself to others back in the day, but as I grew up I sorta got over it.
I understand why you're feeling like this, but rather than just thinking "it's petty" and stewing over this, try to keep a more positive attitude. Play your character the best way you think you can according to your interpretation of them, and the rest will fit in.
I think it can be fun to have other people play the same character and see the differences, personally, though it's better to avoid competitive feelings like "they're doing it wrong I want to PROVE I can do it better!" (thinking "well shit they're ooc" if they're ooc is different though). Even if it's the same character many people can give it a different spin and focus on a certain aspect rather than other, which I always think is very interesting. How a character develops can be influenced by both game setting and their CR so that's a fun thing to check out and it's easier when you actually know the people who are playing other versions.
Honestly my only suggestion is to try to take a positive approach and just focus on having fun. The moment you start to overworry about ooc factors like "they'll like x more than me" is the moment you'll stop having fun-- rp should be relaxing, not stressful. idk if it helps but i think the problem is a competitive mindset, really.

Does anyone else find her to be unbearably self-centered?
She is always wanting people to care about her muses, their ships, their plots, etc but the moment the opportunity comes for her to play a supporting part in someone else's plots, she flakes.

yeah, i just came in here to say that i was planning on apping here next round, but after seeing all this shit, i'm going to skip it
caps/pastebins, you harlot
Agreed.
I like CRAUs who remember my character, because it's a good jumping-off point for cross-canon CR. It's not always positive CR, but it's fun nonetheless.

Normally I'd try to convince you that most of the game isn't like this, but yeah. I'm starting to rethink some of my planned apps too.
I was trying to guess who I'd find on the taken character list to get this strong of a negative reaction. Your Natasha is
unmakeme and you're complaining about her? Are you high?
There are very few good Natasha's out there and even accounting for personal taste I don't think I'm the only person to think that she is the best of them. Squash whatever bug is up your wanky ass, anon. I would give anything for the Natasha in my game to drop so she could app.

I totally respect that decision, but that's a darn shame. I'd honestly rather play with a Dante whose player doesn't take him seriously at all than one who takes him completely seriously. I got enough of that from the game itself.
name dropped elsewhere on this post with no deets
tell me a story, wankgate!
tell me a story, wankgate!
Ditto. And I'm not gonna bother messing with that just for the sake of wankgate, because what the fuck.

What is the difference between:
1. Circlejerker
2. Cliquey bitch
3. Person with little time to devote to rp who keeps their cr limited to people they enjoy playing with.

i havent had her added for very long, but she seems nice enough, if a little condescending at times. too much shaking and crying, deadcats, anxiety over what seems to be nothing, plurks about not eating, etc.
also biiiig flake.

raise your hand if you wish your game wasn't full of whiny cunts.
I just wish mastermind AUs weren't the only AUs people can apparently come up with.
TBH at this rate I don't know how we're going to hod on to our second mod team.
