Really? I will say that canonmates are rarely a pulling factor for me - it's cool when they're there and I like it, but I played T'Pol alone for at least two years. I think the only app I did without thought to long term was for Cale Tucker - and him I dropped pretty quickly, because I realized that. Most of my other characters I've held onto for a long time, or dropped for extraneous reasons.
Wow I guess that does sound a little defensive - my bad bro, I'm sorry if I do come off like that. But I generally like to hold onto my characters for a long while, once I bother apping.
Don't worry about it! You don't seem defensive, or any less defensive than anyone would be. The "serial app/dropper" comment seemed to bother you most of all and you don't strike me as the kind of person to ask for feedback unless they really wanted it.
So I will say that while you do play characters for a long time, having someone on your roster for a while and having an idea of what to do with them in the context of the game are two different things and can lead to the appearance of inactivity/being cliquey/etc with no intent on the player's part.
Morgana, for example, is a character that you've found a way to have a wide selection of cross canon CR for. You have a clear character journey happening for her and the way that TLV is set up is helping you get there. You were even able to use her to kick off a game-wide plot. That's great, and the kind of thing that TLV honestly needs more of. Meanwhile, we haven't seen a whole lot lately of Natasha, Erik, or Tim outside of interactions with their castmates. I know everyone has characters on their roster that are easier to write at certain times, but if you want to know where the app/drop comments are coming from, I'd take a look at in-game activity vs. in-game longevity.
You definitely have a point, and I have noticed that, so I definitely understand what you're saying now. And you're right - I definitely have an easier time with Morgana than the rest of my guys. Natasha I actually dropped partially because of the lack of direction - and Tim's reboot is, I'm hoping, going to help me branch out with that. Erik is a little trickier for me - he's at that point where he's started to change from development, and things always slow down drastically for me when that happens.
I really do appreciate you taking a minute to explain, though, and I'll definitely keep a closer eye on it. Thank you! <3
