Private plurks are usually used for asking questions about rp or personal crap so sending one for just general chatting feels awkward to me. Plus AIM archives conversations better than Plurk, so if I want to look over old convos for pictures or whatever it's more of a hassle to find.

I use pp all the time to have one on one conversations. Not sure where you're getting this awkwardness from, but to each her own.

Awkward really? I use private plurks for one-on-one general conversations all the time and no one's found it awkward that I know of.

I do agree on the archiving bit because it's easy to forget to save the entire page before leaving plurk for the night.
