okay so i'm researching modern arabic name structure and potential names for this israeli character of mine, and since wikipedia only goes so far, i'm pulling up other articles and websites to supplement it
and i just keep finding blatantly white housewives on baby name sites (i know, i know) saying shit like "i want an arabic name for my baby, but i don't want it to sound arabic at all! are there any that sound american? i'm only asking because i don't want kids to pick on them at school" and "i wouldn't pick that name because it sounds like a terrorist name, but i'm not racist"

people keep talking about how wankgate keeps destroying new games that are unique but I'm not really seeing it. A lot of new games flop because of because of the following unrelated reasons.
- the mods flake out (ruhkgate) or disappear completely (that sword art online game, possibly henlein at this point).
- players don't app in because they want to see the game get established first, which they can't since they need players to get off the ground.
- mods have a wanky rep that discourages people from apping (that percy jackson game fedora ran).
- the premise of the game has been done to death (syndemic), it's boring as fuck (elsera), or it's just too narrow and limiting (overjoy).
- simply opened up at a bad time, bad luck, and didn't do enough advertising (at least half of all new games).
I mean, look at STE, it has a pretty unique premise compared to other games, had a slow start, and been through some big wanks and yet its still pretty big and healthy.
