i should add: keeping a routine is also the frontline treatment for like, the vast majority of mental disorders, so it helps in that way too.

the point wasn't that the series is special, the point was that the series is a shounen but doesn't have any superpowered characters...

No hiatuses. If you can't make AC, you have to come talk to the mods BEFORE AC goes up and explain why you can't make AC that month. Then it's up to the mod's discretion if you fail AC or not.

it's not all about fighting and over powered characters, but op explicitly stated that that they don't want to rp with people from shonen anime because of the players behavior. arguing that this shonen anime is different somehow is just supporting the fact that shonen fans can't be told no. i don't understand why this is so hard to grasp.
i even said in a comment above that anon has issues with the overpowered mc stereotype rather than shonen specifically. i acknowledged the point you're trying to make in a comment before you even showed up here, but i didn't start listing examples to prove the op wrong i just said it was driving force behind their preference.

let's say someone didn't want ocs, and happened to voice that one of the reasons was because of sparkle mary sues that were overpowered. along comes an oc player who has blandy mcnoabilities to argue that 'not all ocs' have powers or weird worlds and could be perfectly normal.
not all ocs, no, but maybe op just doesn't want to play with ocs in general because of the way that the players get too invested in them. and as they stated in their original argument, it was more the way the players reacted to their characters over the characters themselves. and then a player comes along and proves that point.
