i'm the one who provided those links in the thread which got deleted, and then got deleted again. whether or not she's a noct mod, pudding is a pain in the rear, let problem players run rampant in zhautus and banned someone because she didn't like them opting out of said plot.

searching site:wankgate.dreamwidth.org "pudding" and site:wankgate.dreamwidth.org "zhautus" hits more threads. some complaints are more justified than others and ymmv what counts as crusty deets, but it's absolutely absurd that people are pulling PUDDING DID NOTHING WRONG card when no, she actually did a lot of things wrong and a lot of people weren't happy with her. it's not all one grudgwanky anon.

the rpanons mod(s) can run their comm however they want, but pudding is an asshole. and i personally don't think that's changed at all.

The rpa mods probably nuked it since no one could conclusively tie this to noctium other than that pudding plays there. So it really does look like conspiracy theories and grudgewank every time, regardless of how relevant this was four years ago.

nah, i agree with you. i think this discussion is fair game for wg but not so much for rpanons. nothing has been definitively proven, i'm mainly just pointing out that she was a pretty shitty mod at the time and that there's probably more than one person with an axe to grind.

Mine! I once mentioned Dean Winchester smoking in a top level and had half a dozen people angrily tell me he would never do that.

Smoking in general seems like a huge taboo to mention unless you're playing, like, John Constantine, chainsmoker extraordinaire. Headcanoning it is totally unacceptable despite the fact I know tons of social/closet smokers irl.

this is weird to me... like i dont know supernatural so not that case specifically but there are plenty of characters who smoke in media and i doubt anyone in dwrp is going to be "influenced" into the habit like mad moms would say by a character smoking.

plenty of the characters i play are from more olden-timey settings (think medieval or fantasy settings) where smoking would almost definitely be the norm and I never think twice about a character smoking unless the canon specifically states that they wouldn't or hate smoking or whatever (could be the case with dean, who knows)

i definitely would never put a smoking headcanon in the same tier as "chemical castration" wtf lmao

this is a huge pet peeve of mine. I've been lectured about it even while playing a character who smokes so frequently in canon that it's become one of his signature visuals. characters that I'm fairly sure wouldn't give a shit IC suddenly turn around and accuse him of wanting to kill himself/hurting other people with second hand smoke, even when they have no problem with other characters doing things like actually murdering people or being criminals.

this has happened multiple times and in one case I dropped all the cr with the other character because they literally would not stop doing it. some people in this hobby are really, really weird about it.

I am not going to argue whether or not Dean would smoke - I haven't played him in years and I stopped following SPN around season 7, so it could be that he has made some condemning statement on the habit since then. But at the time it felt a lot like being cornered by a gang of angry moms who take DARE way too seriously.

Which, honestly? It could be played in a fun way, Dean loves MILFs and that is undisputed canon. But it would require people to not use their characters as fun-killing mouthpieces for health and justice.
