i still VIVIDLY remember the day i bought a really nice luxury coat at a salvage and surplus store for more than half off, and basically the price of a normal coat. and i was still like... it flipped a switch in my brain and i had basically spent my life until that point spending very very very little and i was like 'wait even with how much i put in savings i still have like.... this money just sitting in my account..' and not even a huge amount per se, but like, it was money other people in my socioeconomic bracket would have spent on little luxuries that i just didn't

yeah, i commissioned one of them, though it was on tumblr. it took 18 months + messaging them on 2 platforms to get the rough sketch shown, and then another few months to get the finished work. i watched her ask for money literally every other week, sometimes with commissions for sale, but often without because she couldn't take on any more work. she lived alone in a major city with expensive rent, no day job, just commissions.

that was 5 years ago. out of curiosity i looked up her tumblr just now to see if she's still doing this, and sure enough, two weeks ago, she asked for $20 to buy some food while waiting for a bank transfer and also she's taking some class for fun and a week before that, oops can anyone send her $180 for her phone bill and another $200 for some prescription, etc, etc.

i think there are a lot of people like her. i also think many people do the "commissions" thing because they want to feel useful, especially given the backlash to e-begging over the past handful of years. i don't think i'm bothered by it but i do not ever commission people who do this shit ever.

If only they knew that Spokane is so far from liberal, it's not even funny. Eastern Washington has an ongoing desire to form their own state called Liberty.

I used the same tactic in Jigokucho to deter Gsai because I just knew if I submitted a dni that they would attack me. They’ve been doing this kind of shit to me for years despite me trying to distance myself from them. Gsai can’t take “no” as an answer.

I was doing commissions while I was between jobs, but I was actively looking for work in the meantime. I'd just moved back to my home state due to a medical emergency so I hadn't had a chance to line up a new job beforehand, and just living like that for a few months was absolute Hell. I can't imagine living that way for any number of years.

Thankfully in my case I had family that was more than happy to spot me until I was able to get back on my feet so I was never in a position where e-begging in exchange for nothing ever came up, but even then I hated that I wasn't completely self sufficient at the time

The house was Len asking for money I think. Last I saw they moved to vtubing and were pulling donation streams to pay rent instead of working. I blocked their plurk at that point.

it's the same difficulty level as getting any other type of CR in the game, that is, you have to be proactive in seeking it and getting what you want out of it, because no one's going to walk up and hand it to you unless you play a super popular character. but if you're willing to do that, you'll find something before time is up.

i've done random counts of dominants and submissives a few times, and there's always more submissives than dominants, although the difference is usually slight. the only count i remember off the top was 100 doms, 128 subs. current quick count is 97 doms, 122 subs.
