the biggest red flag was not taking any of the advice given to them in the early days on how to make the move cheaper and how to do things themselves.

i don't mind helping people out, but i ask people to give me bill info and i'll pay bills to that company/person. i don't hand over cash anymore. not after that chick in finland who keeps asking for money, swearing she'll pay it back.

I'm not even sure WTF they wanted all this money for. Just so......they could have more money? What kind of stupid-ass logic is this? Sorry, your friends are not responsible for making sure you can have a nest-egg or extra money so you can have nice things or allow you to take a vacation to Disneyland or buy a house or whatever idiotic reasoning they had for trying to bleed their friends dry.

I'm truly disgusted they tried to scam people out of thousands of dollars when there's people legitimately asking for money because they have absolutely no alternatives left to them. They have no shame whatsoever and the amount of lying they've done throughout this entire process makes me hope no one ever believes them ever again when they say they need a bail-out.

in two separate games, c-drama players of the same series were involved in drama in which the instigators were specifically icing out castmates they didn't like by creating "cast servers" where only those castmates weren't allowed to join.

nowadays i just assume that if someone plays from the untamed, there's a good chance they're a bitch.

i also joined a mod team that had just had a reshuffle after a head mod left and it was pretty obvious who wanted to be the only one in charge and who they didn't like in what they considered their game.

they didn't like player contributions in general but didn't bother to hide when it came from certain ones. what is the opposite of 'yes and...' they were that for anyone they deemed annoying or stupid.

also constant policing of other mod's duties while neglecting their own. when help or input was offered there'd be an instant snap back for people to concentrate on their own jobs.

i'm guilty of this sometimes but i mostly post it as an attempt to remind or motivate myself to tag. i never thought it might come off as an announcement for others or attenton-seeking behavior.

da

imo it's fine as long as you actually go and tag. i know someone who does this every week and makes plans on which threads they're totally going to tag right now... but they never actually tag. then the next time rolls around and they're DEFINITELY going to do it tonight you guys! but they don't. and then by the end of the month they're begging for ac. rinse and repeat every month.

that's the kind of situation that's frustrating to watch. if you're just using it to get into the right headspace and you are actually tagging, there's no problem.

last time something like this happened in my vicinity it wasn't a c-drama cast but the players involved did play from c-dramas in their other game so this tracks

former mod, can confirm these c-drama cast discord cliques caused problems in our game too. nothing against cast servers but this lot's a wanky crowd who like to set up their own echo chambers

Didn’t they just post the info about it to the comm and plurk? Im confused what the issue is

Re: UNDER THE RADAR WANK

finally someone said it

i had a friend who got bullied out of a game by a c-drama cast because she was "stealing" the attention of one person in that cast, and unfortunately didn't want to cause a stink by going to the mods

i don't remember which c-drama it was specifically, but i'm sure i'm not missing anything by ignoring/blacklisting all of them

i just saw her post that she'd rather work on setting up a patreon instead of working. does she even do anything patreon worthy, or is she trying to start a rolling grift???

She's sitting on plurk complaining about the training for her new job that she supposedly badly needs and whining about when she's going to get paid, of course she'd rather find some kind of grift where she can just get money out of a bunch of rubes for 0 effort. Who wouldn't want that?

A helper mod at a long-dead LJ game claimed she lived in the same neighborhood in California as a specific attractive movie actor. She spent a lot of time in game discussions asking if it would be creepy to: a) leave him a note telling him how much she admired him on the windshield of his car, b) leave him little random gifts on his car or in his mailbox, c) find a spot to hide so she could watch him opening the gifts.

She also used this guy a PB for one of her journals, which added to the weird factor.

A whole buncha people told her this was a bad idea because it was gonna get her arrested for stalking, which she did not like hearing. I don't know whether or not she ever did it, but she was very pouty that no one supported the plan. She left later in a huge huff of unrelated drama.

heck, in op's letter they finish with 'just do your tags, you don't need to announce it nine times a week and then not do them.'

the last part is the important part. if you tag, great, talk about it all you want. if you don't, shut up about it.

this could be so many duos i have met over the years. hell, there are at least two pairs in a game i'm in right now. they're too busy rping withh each other to keep up with other tags so they're holding up cr and plotty threads.

oh well that seals it. not like anyone here is ever just saying whatever they have to so they can stir up drama to entertain themselves.

I was in a single fandom game were one player was secretly writing both halves of a popular ship. They went so far as to have two different AIM handles that'd both be active in the game's groupchat at the same time.

i have no idea what enjoyment they might have derived from that - let alone to such an extent that it would justify the work of pretending to be two different people.
