(Anonymous) 2024-08-10 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)10 comments in a network post, 5 comments in a log post, can't be with the same character, and you can't submit CR with the same character more than two months in a row. If you have canon/franchise mates at least one proof of AC has to be a non canon/franchise mate

(Anonymous) 2024-08-10 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)just curious about how you'd do it. a spreadsheet? looking at 3 months worth of ac at once to make sure they didn't submit with the same character too much? relying on memory? i know we all hate "cliques" or whatever but that seems like a quick route to tearing your own hair out over something that's really not that serious

(Anonymous) 2024-08-10 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)It's also not difficult to notice the patterns unless you have the memory of a goldfish because if you checked their previous AC, reuse of a character that many times will jog your memory. The ones who are the worst about this especially so.

Re: da
(Anonymous) 2024-08-11 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)The easiest way to know who people are tagging with is to require character names in the form. The only exception to this is players who constantly post open posts or top levels as a proof and then manage to only tag their BFF in that top level. Which is also a pattern of behavior that will become obvious with time as another comment pointed out. Mods typically recognize their "skirting by ac" problem players after a few months.
Re: Tell me wankgate...
(Anonymous) 2024-08-10 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)too micromanaging and coming across like you assume the worst and expect players to be cliquey. makes it hard for players with a strong preference for either network or log posts for no good reason (i've seen plenty of meaty network tags and one-line log tags, and some characters are easier to write one or the other with).
i'd put in the rules that the game promotes crosscanon tagging and wide cr circles and that it isn't a place to just write with your canonmates or ship partner. so if you get particular players like that you can warn or get rid of them citing game rules. much better than making your entire playerbase jump through ac hoops to prevent it.
