The fact that the Jasmine and Aladdin players are that thin skinned to make a big deal out of negative CR is pathetic. If they didn’t want negative CR, then they should’ve stated so in their permission page. The player who threadjacked them respects other people’s boundaries and is always linking their opt-out page for their character.

The immaturity of this couple knows no bounds. With Yon at the helm of this game, Labyrinthum is cooked.

Jasmine posted an announcement about her upcoming wedding.

BB from Fate/ said what essentially amounted to "it's funny that you can plan a wedding but can't plan to take down the bbeg" To which people on both sides (in agreement with BB and defense of Jasmine's right to be happy about her wedding) started taking over the post up until the thread was frozen.

Lil was upset the post exploded into negativity that supposedly hadn't been planned by the players.

to be fair it is frustrating when characters ignore the setting to play out their little parties but being aggro on someone's network post isn't a great way to deal with it

i don't know the canon, is it ic for bb to act like that?

According to the canon wiki's page for the character? Yes.

She is aggressive because she has a latent tendency toward sadism. This is the source of her "little devil" persona.

A mysterious kouhai from perverted cyberspace. Unlike Mash, who keeps her dirty thoughts to herself, BB is quite open about it. Also, instead of respecting her senpai, she bullies them endlessly like the little devil she is.

It goes on. Sounds like the kind of character where CR isn't for everyone, but that kind of resentful aggression is 100% IC and the character journal for BB has a very thorough opt-out page linked in their info page for the game.

If you ask me, that's a clear failure on the Lil's part as a player that resulted in a rule change from the mods, smh.

it’s completely insane and also completely in character, which is a reason why she is a popular character even though the game she was introduced in was never localized. she’s not a real person but a AI that became self aware and went rogue.

there's a difference between "mods doing what they want to make life easier for themselves in running the game (not having to app, not doing ac, banning wankers)" and "mods doing what they want within the game in a way that makes things frustrating for players (godmodding player characters, freezing network threads, being a dick icly without repercussions)".

they can do what they want sure but if players get pissed off at them or drop the game then they have to deal with the consequences

pretty sure the discussion here is still about the bad modding overall, not "mods not wanting to play with a character" - which yeah that's totally the same as freezing a thread multiple characters were involved with because lil failed to use a character's opt-out post or set boundaries on her own permission page

Okay, so, when people say mods can and should do what they want, the understanding is that the mods aren't going on a self-serving power trip that has a negative impact for the rest of the game. Yes, mods can and should do things that let them run games more easily for them and can and should stop things that are bad for their game as a whole. And mods are always in the right to put their foot down on mod mistreatment.

None of the above is what happened here. This was an IC interaction that got into negative CR when the character who brought up negativity has an opt-out, and the character they tagged into does not have negative CR as off-limits on their permission page. In fact, Lil welcomes IC fighting there, warning that

Laby's mod team either doesn't understand the divide between IC and OOC, or they're just happy to make mod rulings to stop threads that aren't even related to the game's actual plot from going a different direction than they wanted. No matter which, they probably should not be modding.

And I know, there's almost certainly no pictures in explaining that because chances are you know your argument was irrelevant, you just thought it was a good defense of what happened. But it's obnoxious because shit like this fuels whining when mods make unpopular calls that are actually valid.
