idk, that doesn't sound unreasonable at all to me. if certain players are known for being slow/absent to the point that everyone just assumes they will be slow/absent, why should other people have to check in to ask "hey are you going to be slow/absent this month too?" like i've been stuck with barely-existent castmates so the rest of us in the cast just mutually agreed that we were going to handwave them being around and existing because otherwise we would never get to do anything with our cast if we were constantly waiting on the players who never tagged.

if this is what i think it is referring to, it was more like we don't have cr, im new, i godmode your character as being slow/absent icly without touching base to begin with or us having a conversation in the first place

da but I agree, handwaving them being in the background is fine but ICly treating it like the character has been ignoring everyone is shitty. someone did it to me once and even had their character get ICly mad at mine for "ignoring" them when I had health issues. I took it to the mods of the game at the time and they got a warning. if someone pulls this shit in a game I'm in now I report them and refuse to tag them

thank you for restoring some more of my sanity, the way they keep trying to recast this as someone else godmoding their character's IC opinions instead of them being shitty about people being slow makes me nuts.

they went on to complain (and you can see in Beck's plurk they're still stuck on this) that they couldn't possibly have given their character assumed IC knowledge of basic game facts and it was other players' fault for being slow. apparently random people they just met were supposed to realize they were depending on them for IC meta plot knowledge spreading and ensure they got it in a timely fashion. idk why they couldn't just handwave that their character picked up some basic game facts like everyone else does.

it's because they're bad at rp. not even in a meme way, this sort of thing shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how rp is supposed to work. beck and their friends aren't creative enough to come up with a reason for their character to know or do anything without being handheld through it.

these are the sorts of people who started rping 15 years ago and haven't grown as writers or rpers since then

sounded like the person they were threading with offered to handwave it so they could stop complaining about it and they chose instead to complain louder? lol

beck also complained about being excluded and says she posted a plotting comment and got only one comment to it but what i want to know is did they bother tagging out to plot? i don't remember seeing her do so.

I never knew we even had a Bones player, so I'm guessing not.
