it's confusing because i don't understand the point of the invite / semi-private system if they let in every player known in wankgate history

wankgate isn't really the arbiter of who befriends whom

should help when ppl log in and show their asses, but ppl in this hobby never learn

+1 sometimes wg makes a mountain out of an anthill too

and sometimes wankers make their own and make themselves a persona non grata. or end up being racist.

invite-only systems have never functionally been for gatekeeping wankers, bad rpers, annoying people, etc.

they're a pretext for not letting in people the mods don't want to let in. what that means depends on who the mods are.

i've rarely seen this game's mods reject anybody

yeah the invite system is just some weird step that i think really functions as the "app." i don't think the mods even really read the applications, at least not fully.

if they let in trash i doubt they read.

It's weird because the application has more writing required than a lot of games but somehow it still has the highest concentration of people who are OOC or just awful writers.

well they rejected blue so it seems that they have some standards......

tbqh any game can just not let in people the mods don't want to let in, even a "public" game, so invite systems seem much more functional as a method to control how many apps they get in a month

a true private game would give all players veto rights but this would be a nightmare to manage in a medium or large game

Didn't one of the ancient ecats games have vetos?

yeah cfud had public voting in apps which is a bit too bloodbathy for me personally but it worked for them ig
