I've been out of Duplicity for a while, but when I played there, there were a few characters who were still loud and vitriolic to the system...who had done the repeated punishment cycle thing, but most people wrote them off because you could avoid that if you just played into going along with everything; it was seen as a sign of stubborn bullheadedness to keep bang your head against the wall. I remember the mods did do something interesting by having the whole game go to the realignment center, like as a threat. And there was the attempt to escape on a ship some characters built.

But eventually, knowing nothing you do will have any effect gets absolutely exhausting.

Cuz shipping is fun and sometimes I want to ship or write smut with a character that happens to be a teen. It is not about their age, it is about wanting to see the character in a variety of situations.

It doesn't matter that people do this either. What matters is not hurting real life human beings.
