idk, i always check for permissions and i'd say about 70% of the journals i check don't have them at all

plus people who don't feel pressured to say yes to stuff they don't really care about are probably in the minority here, lbr. on wg we're sort of conditioned to not care if someone's offended, but i don't think it's accurate to characterize most of dwrp that way when it's been self-evident for a long time that most rpers here prefer to go with the flow to avoid awkwardness or conflict

personally i just don't write starters for people who don't bring ideas to the table, but clearly there are many people who try and try and try, because these complaints come up all the time. it would also save time for the people not writing the starters, because blorbos they don't care about wouldn't bother
