but the problem with that kind of thing is that the 'people 'helping' the mod on discord' have already made plans and aren't likely going to have space/time/spoons for more threads, so there's going to be this whole group that are essentially out of play/not available for any cr because their plate is full. before the post goes up. it's a dick move.

no one has plans yet. the event post doesn't give much away.

people are speculating and chatting, but no one has filled their plate.

there are literally no plans that you can make. the only information we have is "everyone is in a locked room together and one by one they enter a labyrinth of unknown horrors." that's it. unclench.

thanks anon

not sure how to feel about learning this plot information from wg instead of the game itself. left out?

embarrassed that you go here to complain before talking to a single person in your game?

if you're feeling left out because you're not in the discord server, an easy solution is to just join the server. that's not sarcastic, either. i put off getting a plurk for the longest time because i didn't like it, and i still don't, but i'm happier checking it every now and then and feeling included at my games than i am getting upset at being left out because too much is happening on plurk. i can't change how other players communicate, only how i choose to engage with it.

you don't have to be there 24/7. you can search the mod account's posts every now and then and check when someone pings you and that's it. a few people have said they have most or all of the channels muted and only hop in when they feel like it.

using the OOC comm would be the most inclusive solution, but realistically the "please use the OOC comm instead of AIM/plurk/discord" debate has been ongoing for 10+ years now and that ship has sailed. even when mods try to enforce posting everything to the OOC comm, you can't stop people from doing a majority of their plotting on plurk or discord first. people like to chat about plot and game things where they chat about everything else, and since very few people use personal journals anymore, that's either discord or plurk depending on the game.

is this some kind of thing where like the game has 100 players, 90 of them were on discord, and the other 10 are being intentionally shut out

or is this some kind of thing were like the game has 100 players, 7 were on discord, and the other 93 are not desirable
