AI is definitely making it worse, but exploitation and outsourcing etc of art professionals has been around for ages and is the #1 factor standing in the way of most people who want an Art Job, at least in my experience. There's something to be said for how even if you DO make it into a studio job, it's just as likely you'll be back out on your ass as soon as someone cheaper comes along. That's all humans, baybee
