games that have networks that require usernames usually just have people that put in something they think is quippy, or their character's name/s in some form. s.rogers or hiro or something. not everyone wants to put the effort that we put upon ourselves to come up with a witty username for our chars into that icly in a game. half the games out there don't let you pick. i wish more were like that. just make my char be first initial.lastname. works for me. and my character.

i have fun coming up with usernames my character would icly pick for themselves personally, it’s my favorite part of joining a new game with that kind of network

same, but a lot of my characters are too practical or don't care enough about that sort of thing so it's ic for them to be firstname.lastname or similar boring things :(
