i truly wish i was joking. i've seen a lot of news reports on child services being called for things like this along with that 'walking to the park' example i also made. it's why i called it forced helicopter parenting. a lot of parents are being forced to have to hover because it's 'abuse' or 'neglect' otherwise when busybodies or nosy assholes get involved.
