DA, but 'fandom first' rules don't curve poor OCs, they just delay them. Good OC players will be able to play good OCs from the get-go. Yes, you could get an idea of the player's writing skills from their fandom character playing, but a fandom character is still a different ballpark from an OC. I've known tons of people who can play fandom characters wonderfully, then fail hard at their own OCs.
We have no wankers. Our only problem player dropped a while ago after getting accurate, polite crit in the game's HMD.
The hiatus and drop posts are the only thing I check when doing AC and you haven't submitted your AC for the round. If you aren't on the Hiatus page, and haven't submitted AC, you get AC'd out.
TLV's kind of like the proto-Holly Heights: puts up a welcoming front, everyone pastes on smiles and pretends there's no wank while behind the scenes it's cattier than a gang of high-school girls and everyone backstabs everyone else.

Same here. I basically had to move away from the fandom when the episode-to-episode judging (and those terrible, Riley-inspired "social justice" posts) became too overbearingly toxic, and I am not looking forward to the return of that...

rules tend to be made for a reason. if they're just general guidelines that mean fuck all and they'll bend them for everyone that wants them to, then they should say so.

I actually went through this with a player recently. We went ahead and let them back in the game, then they dropped, without using the drop page, which is the same as the hiatus page I specifically linked them when we let them back in. Luckily it was AC time anyway, but come on people!

anon I know exactly who you're talking about but there was a perfectly legitimate reason for wanting to take her ipad with her? she was going into the first procedure of many that had a number of possible side effects like completely wiping her memory and she was alone; I'd want a tether to my friends as long as possible too.

I'd be happy if they would even post in the OOC comm. I've had players complain about getting ACed out because I'm not fucking psychic. This may come as a shock, but I don't actually know if you mentioned in passing to another player that you're on hiatus.
